How to prepare delicious Cacao?
If this is your first experience with Cacao, start with 15-20g of Cacao per cup. For a Ceremonial Cacao session, use between 40-65g of Cacao.
Take a piece of Cacao, place it on a board and cut it with a knife or grate it. You can also use an electric grinder.
Pour your favourite plant milk or water or half and half into a pot in the amount of cups you will be having. It is important not to boil your Cacao, so that it does not lose its value. Heat the Cacao until fat eyes appear on the surface or up to 65 degrees. Stir with a wooden spoon until Cacao is dissolved.
There is a whole range of Cacao flavours in its preparation. Find your best flavour by adding spices you like depending on how sweet, salty or spicy you like it. It's your choice. Explore flavours until you find your favourite blend. Each of spices has its own individual qualities that intensify power of Cacao. If you like the taste of Cacao on its own, that's great. Don't add anything at all and enjoy what Cacao itself gives you. I personally love the nature of taste of pure Cacao.

Intention is also an important element of Ceremonial Cacao. It can be related to healing, manifestation, increasing awareness or anything that is important to you at the time. As you are already stirring the drink gently, focus on your intention. You can visualise your intention being absorbed by the Cacao, chant it or simply say it out loud, while channelling your positive energies and affirmations into the Cacao. The Cacao is a tool to strengthen and support your intention.

Cacao is a very subtle and very individual plant. You need to find your own best way to connect with Cacao. Therefore, it is important to observe your body after the amount of Cacao you consume. If you feel that dose is too high, reduce it. If you feel you need more, add more Cacao to your drink.

Enjoy !
